Wombat Sports was initially set up by Mike Chetwynd and was known as cricket bat makers Moorland Bats. With the workshop and shop in Tavistock, Devon, Mike had worked up a good reputation for producing quality, top grade willow, handcrafted cricket bats.
After the introduction of Charlie Hughes as a partner, the decision was made to expand our services and change the name to Wombat Sports Ltd, and while we continue to make our cricket bats and offer our bat repair service, we also aim to supply ALL cricket related products and services in the near future.
Included in these products will be our own WOMBAT range of playing equipment and clothing (as well as many other brands) cricket ground equipment (covers, sightscreens, scoreboards, etc), turfcare products for the groundsman (drag mats, sarel spikers, brushes, etc), coaching with our own fully qualified coaches, funding application advise and assistance, advertising boards, machinery, trophy's, and much more, all of which will be at hard to beat prices.
